Tina Wyatt Younger, a resident of South Boston, VA, situated in Halifax County, is a dedicated community leader and activist. With 13 years of marriage and a loving family, Tina takes immense pride in her role as a mother to one son and three stepdaughters, celebrating their noteworthy accomplishments.


Returning to her hometown in 2009, Tina keenly observed the need for increased activism in the community. Responding to this call, she ran for South Boston Town Council and secured election in 2012, subsequently serving as Vice Mayor from 2018 to 2020.

Tina's expertise spans various domains, including project management, strategic planning, research, data analysis, auditing, finance management, legislation, public policy writing, leadership, training, and human resources.


During her tenure on the council, Tina actively participated in the Current Affairs and Finance Committees. She represented the Virginia Municipal League from 2016 to 2017 on the Policy Committee, focusing on Member Human Development & Education, funding for social services, pre K-12 education, health, behavioral health, juvenile justice, recreation, rehabilitation, and aging. Notably, Tina collaborated with a team of seven citizens and the town manager to establish a Small Business Emergency Loan Program. This initiative provided crucial assistance, offering up to $250,000 to over 20 local business owners during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.


Tina's platform is not just a set of principles; it is a resounding call to action. It reflects her unwavering commitment to safeguarding women's health, championing voter rights, and tirelessly advocating for equitable educational opportunities for every child.
